All hunts require a $375 deposit within ten days of booking. Balance due upon arrival. We encourage you to bring your climber and we will assist in placement of stand.
Hunt I - Sep 7-9 Food sources are the primary locations as bucks are just beginning to separate and still focused on food. Stands are hung in travel routes from food to water sources. Hunting pressure is typically light around our properties during this hunt. Bucks are not quite as guarded just yet, and most still have velvet.
Hunt II - Oct 5-7 Normally, we will have had a frost by now. Corn is being shelled and bucks are starting to begin to show dominance signs. Acorns seem to become a primary food source. With the farming activity and gun hunters checking their stands activity, the deer can be moved at any time. Leaves are starting to turn and it is a beautiful time to be in a hardwoods stand.
Hunt III - Nov 2-4 The leaves are falling, the bucks are definitely in pre-rut. Temps are normally very comfortable with 50s for his and 30s for los, averages. Rattling, grunting, scents and calling are the most effective this time of year as sign is abundant and domination is finalized. It is not uncommon to have does already in. Most corn is harvested and beans are now being combined. Gun hunters are moving around in surrounding properties pushing and jumping deer all the while. It is a great time to be a bowhunter in Kentucky, as it is still not as popular as it is elsewhere.
Remember, all hunts include lodging, meals, transportation to and from stands. No hidden fees. Kentucky non-resident license is $130 and deer tags are $60. Both can be purchased over the counter or online here.
